Often boxing plays only use the iconography and avoid the matches because they are a huge challenge to pull off, but we’re lucky to have the UK’s first registered female fight director, Alison de Burgh, on board, who is an incredible collaborator, as adept at storytelling as she is at an upper cut.”

Alison has worked extensively in the theatre, regularly creating fights for productions at Derby Playhouse; the Byre Theatre, St. Andrews; the Belgrade, Coventry; the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield; Dundee Rep and the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh. She has regularly worked on productions with drama students at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and was Fight Master at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art from 1996 – 2005.
